A Modern Homestead
This was a complete redesign and remodel of a 1200 sq/ft home in Santa Rosa. It lacked personality, functionality and a cohesive design.
Our redesign of the floor plan made for a more natural transition from kitchen to living room. From there, large sliding doors connect the living room and kitchen to the deck, visually expanding the house and making indoor and outdoor entertaining more accessible. New windows, doors and a deck in the front and backyard integrate the home with its landscaped surroundings in a more intimate way. The space opens itself to the outdoors and invites natural light.
Custom millwork throughout the house defines each room and improves functionality by providing for storage needs. The bathroom was relocated, giving more definition to the living room space and creating flexibility for furniture arrangement. The palate hints at a European influence. It is fresh, warm, and minimalistic
